Please, O Father, Give Me Wisdom ================================ w: Lorna B. Gray, 2007 m: Bob Sorem, 2008 [Verse 1] I see a fellow traveller, stumbling on so sad; and know I can't, with human skill, find words to make him glad. Ah then, I to my dear Lord come, His wisdom there to find~~ wisdom with heav'nly purity, peaceable and kind. [Refrain] Please, O Father, give me wisdom my fellow man to aid. when cruelty his heart has torn and loved ones have betrayed. Please give me words that I should speak to give him hope again~~ to point him to a remedy, an easing of his pain. [Verse 2] I think of Jesus, always kind, knowing just what to say and giving all a remedy to help them on their way. No problem was too great for Him; no wind or storm was more than He could handle and still bring all safely to shore. [Refrain] [Verse 3] Give me a wisdom that sees past the worst complexity, to see things insurmountable then need not ever be; to know Christ sees the way ahead, past, present, and our goals; to know whate'er He says to do is best for our souls. [Refrain]
