All Things Bright and Beautiful =============================== w&m: Lorna B. Gray, 2003 acc: Bob Sorem, 2017 [Verse 1] All things bright and beautiful, my eyes with pleasure fill. All things that God created according to His will. But, oh, the greatest beauty shines when, in His hand resigned, a life in recreation shows marks of a Christlike kind. [Verse 2] Beauty of a 'babe' in Him, with nought but trust within, firmly grasping Jesus' hand, the journey to begin. The wonder of their first few words, that show they now have sight to see things more as God does see~ the little fledgling light. [Verse 3] Beauty of a faithful one, who's reached life's middle range. Who firm and true to Him has stood, zealous without change. The ones who in the middle watch, though tested, tempted, tried, have kept a spirit soft and sweet and in His peace abide. [Verse 4] Brightness of the hope that shows on wrinkled, pallid face, of one, who facing death just sees ending of the race. The calm and sweet contentment of the old, who do declare, "Through all my years God's kept me in His tender, loving care!" [Verse 5] Yes, all things bright and beautiful, fill my heart with praise. They cheer me in my pilgrim walk, lighten all my days. May my own life so yielded be, that He can use His skill, producing in me beauty bright, where once was selfish will.
